The Toronto Signals Band, (Sigs as we are affectionately known), have been performing for audiences throughout Canada and the United States since 1926.

We are a unique organization comprised of men and women dedicated to preserving the history and traditions of this well known Canadian Military Band.  We have brought dignity, honour and wide acclaim to the 709th Communications Regiment and the City of Toronto.  Since the integration of the Canadian Armed Forces in the early 1970’s, we have carried on as a volunteer organization.

The Toronto Signals Band is one of the oldest continuous operating Bands in Canada, and is always a crowd favourite at Parades, Concerts, Tattoo’s and Drum Corp Shows. Readily recognized by our scarlet and black uniforms, we have maintained the reputation as a precision marching unit and a superb playing group.  We have distinctively earned the title of “Canada’s Marching Ambassadors” and have won over 400 awards since our inception.

For many members, Sigs is a family affair. There are several fathers with sons or daughters, wives and husbands, brothers and sisters all proudly marching together.  Some are third generation members.
Over the years many friendships have been established with those who have come to know the Sigs and it is our intention to continue this trend for many years to come.

Envision if you will, the sight of Scarlet and the sound of Brass, as we present the Toronto Signals Band!

We are always looking for new members.  You do not have to be able to play an instrument, we will teach you to play and to march.  There is a place for you in one of the following areas:  Trumpet: 1st & 2nd  Soprano, Mellophone, Baritone, Contra Bass or Percussion: Snare or Tenor Drum, Swinging Tenor Drum, Bass Drum, Cymbals, Glockenspiel or Colour Guard:  Carry a Flag or Rifle.  Visit our website and get in touch with us.  Join us to have fun and start a new chapter in your life
