Claidhmor Claidhmor (pronounced “Claymore”) was formed over 10 years ago by four men who not only loved to sing but loved Scottish music. Two of the founding members, Stewart and Fred are still here today and the other two, Ian and Herb have been members for over 5 years. They are very capably directed and accompanied on keyboard by the talented Lynn Swanson. Through time, their repertoire has expanded to music from all over Great Britain and Atlantic Canada. Claidhmor’s passion for their music and the harmonies they bring to the stage set them apart from many other similar ensembles and while they perform several traditional tunes, I know you’ll enjoy some of their more recent arrangements. These lads all hail from Durham Region and have performed at the Highland Games in Fergus, Uxbridge and Fenelon Falls. They bring their unique brand of music to Burns Suppers and many private and corporate functions. Most recently they performed at Roy Thompson Hall during the RBC Senior Jubilee and were critically acclaimed. I’d recommend that no one drops their hat ‘cause they just might start singing.
