Port Hope and District Royal Canadian Legion Branch 30 Pipes and Drums

The pipes and drums of Port Hope Legion have been providing quality bagpipe and drum music to many area communities since 1957. As with many community organizations they have seen a large turnover of personnel over those years, but still continue to carry on the tradition of a band where quality of music is paramount and having fun is expected.
The band has competed at the Grade 4 level over the years, they have traveled to Scotland and Florida as well as other international venues. They entertain at many festivals, teach and encourage current and new members and play at many parades and festivals.
The band offers support for Branch #30 and other legions in the area as well.
The Band is under the direction of Pipe Major Jamie York, Drum Sgt. Al Wilson and Pipe Sgt. Colum Faris.
They have a current roster of 12 pipers and 6 drummers.
The Band proudly wears the red Fraser tartan.
