The 413 Wing AFAC Pipes and Drums were formed in September 2004.  The band is comprised of members, both young and old from most parts of Eastern Ontario, traveling to Trenton for practices every Monday night.  We practice at the 413 AFAC Leonard Birchall Wing, here in Trenton.  The repertoire that the band plays comprises medleys of new and old tunes some that have not been heard or played for a number of years.
The band is now enjoying their second season together doing parades and performing at concerts promoting the Pipe Band plus we are embarking on a few competitions. We placed third at the Winchester Highland Games and in Spencerville, we placed second in the Grade 5 Pipe Band competition. We have traveled extensively during the last few months with the most recent travel to Montreal to participate in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade.  We combined with the Pipes and Drums of the ANAF Unit from Belleville and together we won the trophy for the best Military Unit on Parade. We are very happy to have the Colour Party of 413 Wing under the direction of Sgt at Arms Tommy Thomas, travel to a number of the parades with the Pipe Band. We have successfully fundraised over the last year and a half to obtain all of our band uniforms and equipment. We proudly wear the RCAF Tartan.
The band is under the direction of P/M Beth Cleaton and Drum Instructor Iain Cleaton.
